Breaking branches is a rite of passage in cannabis cultivation, and we STILL break branches to this day. In fact, that’s what happens when you are pushing the limits of how big your buds can be.

A broken branch, while not ideal, will not take that much away from yield. Cannabis plants have very fast metabolisms, and they will channel energy to the branches that are left instead - reconstructing your plant in a way that will still produce lots of buds!

Please note: only branches that are partially attached can be put back together. If your branch broke and came off entirely, we are sorry but it cannot be fixed. If this is your case, simply cut the rest of the broken stem down to the next node (pair of leaves), and let the plant recover. The other branches will take up the energy and grow stronger instead.

To fix a broken branch:

  1. Take 3 inches of BudTape
  2. Stretch it to expose the waxy coating
  3. Straighten the branch and connect both broken ends
  4. Wrap BudTape around and squeeze lightly until it sticks
  5. Continue wrapping (up to 5 times) until branch is upright

And that's it - after 2 weeks, your branch will be strong again and ready to rip through that BudTape, so you don't have to worry about removing it or getting your branches strangled.

Please note: DO NOT wrap the branch more than 5 times, as this could strangle it as it grows. In order for the branch to break through the BudTape, no more than 5 layers must be used.

After your branch has healed (typically after 2 weeks), your plant will be ready to go again, and you can remove the tape to allow your branch to continue growing.
