The BudTrainer Method™
- How to Grow Cannabis in 7 Steps -

The BudTrainer Method™ is a 7-step seed-to-harvest method for growing legal cannabis that allows any grower, beginner or advanced, to grow massive plants with high levels of cannabinoids. It was created by cannabis cultivation expert and mechanical engineer, “H”, when he was in college for a post-graduate degree in commercial cannabis production.
Advantages of The BudTrainer Method™
- Works with photoperiods or autoflowers
- Works both indoors and outdoors
- Produces large & potent buds
- Produces large yields (6oz+)
- Requires very little work
- From commercial standards
YOUR JOURNEY STARTS HERE

Week 0
Lesson #1:
How to Plant & Germinate Cannabis Seeds
The first step in growing is planting your cannabis seeds or clones in the BudCups™, or your choice of starting pot. In this lesson we will cover what helps increase root growth from the very beginning, how much to water your seedling, and why you should avoid the paper-towel method.

Week 4
Lesson #2:
How to Transplant Cannabis Seedlings
Once your plant has grown the 3rd or 4th node (pair of leaves) and its roots are starting to circle around your BudCups™ or other starting container, it’s time to transplant it in theBudPots®, or your final pot of choice, so that it start growing roots in all directions.

Week 5
Lesson #3:
How to Top Cannabis
After the 6th node of your plant appears, it is time to top it by cutting the 6th node off. After this is done, your plant will grow its side branches to gain more light exposure and airflow, and set up your initial stalk structure for later success.

Week 6+
Lesson #4:
How to Train Cannabis Plants
At this stage you will start training your plant with the BudClips®,BudHuggers®, and BudPots®, gently manipulating its branches to the sides. This will open up your canopy, setting your plant up for putting on massive buds later on during the flowering stage.
Training can be repeated multiple times throughout the vegetative stage. This means that if you are growing outdoors, you might get the opportunity to retrain your plants every 2 weeks until the end of June. However, if you are growing indoors, we recommend switching to flower after no more than 6 to 8 weeks in the vegetative stage.

Week 3 of Flower
Lesson #5:
How to Prune & Defoliate Cannabis
During the first 20-25 days of the flowering stage, branches grow twice as long as before, putting on many leaves and smaller branches that turn into undesirable bud. This is why it’s crucial to defoliate and prune your plant after this period is over, ensuring only the good leaves and branches stay behind. After this is done, your plant is officially ready to finish flowering.

Week 8 - 12
Lesson #6:
How to Harvest & Dry Cannabis
Harvesting is one of the most crucial parts of growing. If done too early or too late, you risk ruining an entire harvest. It’s very important to harvest at the right time, when all the right signs are in place. Not to mention, drying your plant at the right temperature and humidity is essential in order to avoid mold and to maximize terpenes.

Week 1 After Harvest
Lesson #7:
How to Trim & Cure Cannabis
After the drying period is over, you will learn how to trim your buds to their final desired shape, leaving them in mason jars to cure them to perfection. Curing takes roughly 2 weeks at the ideal relative humidity, and it ensures a great smoking experience while helping preserve your buds for longer.
